When this game has 8 players , we'll send all the players registered with this game an email, and we'll try to help them finalize the game details. Once they actually manage to agree on the details of a first game (day/time/location/etc.), we'll move this game from this 'forming games' section to the front ('live games') page.
I am new to this area and don't really know what to do to get things going. I have looked online and asked around and have had no luck with finding a group to play soccer with. I thought maybe this park would be great to start if people are interested. I don't know if there are lights for night but if someone has a suggestion for a place with lights so we can play during the week that would great.

Sounds like it is too late to form a team now for spring and summer. Let's shoot for a fall soccer team. I will be happy to coordinate a new team for fun and to play in the coed league in Fairfax County. All games will be at Poplar Tree Park near Chantilly. I went to Poplar Tree Park on Thursday night, last week, just in case there was a pickup game and to check out the park. There were no fields available for a pickup game - all taken by kids' leagues. I don't have an alternative suggestion, as I also just moved here 1 week ago; just letting you know that this park doesn't seem likely to have space open.

I'm interested in playing, either pickup or as part of a team. I currently am playing men's indoor soccer (Fairfax Sportsplex), and previously have played both coed outdoor and men's outdoor (WISL). I am probably most effective as an outside fullback or in midfield, but am willing to play any position (except 'keeper!).
